Which path will you choose?
At Holos Therapeutics, I offer three experiential paths geared toward supporting your unique needs and interests. You can choose any one, two, or all three options, and there is some overlap among all of them.
Somatic Strength
Mind Medicine
Soulcraft™
Due to the inclusive, holistic nature of human health, each path incorporates elements from the others. For instance, physical fitness isn't "just" physical: your bodily strengths and abilities will be supported by your cognitive strength. Likewise, your "mental" health is inextricably tied to your physical health, so the Mind Medicine path engages the somatic level of experience to optimize your cognitive wellness. The Soulcraft™ path is all-inclusive: this is for those who want a long term deep dive into the complex interconnections among body-mind-heart-soul-spirit.

Mind Medicine
The Mind Medicine path emphasizes what traditional psychotherapy and counseling offers, namely support for mental-emotional processing, behavioral adaptation, and life experience integration. This approach engages needs such as grieving support, life transitions, psychedelic integration, trauma resolution, relationship challenges, overcoming compulsive behaviors and addictions, and mood dysregulation.
My approach to these experiences is unique, however, in that I employ a synthesis of ancient, time-tested wisdom and the very latest, highest quality, scientific evidence. The key insight from both perspectives is that mind and body are essentially unified; it is when this integration is disrupted that we display symptoms that the pathologizing medical industry labels a "mental illness" or "disorder." The solution to a wide range of challenges, therefore, is not to "fix" you by suppressing symptoms, it is to trace the origin of the fragmentation within your being and recreate a functional integration of what we abstractly name "mind" and "body."
Sadly, many people go to therapy for years and never make any progress, and this is largely because they just sit and talk about their challenges rather than substantively engaging and tangibly processing them. Mind Medicine sessions include working with the tangible aspects of mind: somatic sensing, subtle energy systems, and body intelligence, which are necessary for robust psychological processing, development, and maturation.

Somatic Strength
This is the path for those who feel solid mentally, but not as strong as you would like physically. In the Somatic Strength path, we focus on improving your functional fitness by developing practical strength, balance, alignment, flexibility and adaptive movement. To support your holistic physical wellness, I incorporate traditional methods of personal fitness training with fascial conditioning and modern postural yoga (which itself is strongly influenced by the modern European gymnastics fitness movement). This creates robust, dynamic, adaptive strength and resilience for the multifaceted demands of life in industrialized, high-tech society.
Soulcraft™
Soulcraft™ is the modern version of the ancient art of maturing holistically, throughout a lifetime. This path emphasizes and supports the holistic development of mind-body-spirit-soul, which is to say our "three-dimensional Self," as the eco-depth psychologist Bill Plotkin calls it. It's not exactly therapy, although the experience can be therapeutic. Rather, attention is placed on discovering and cultivating your larger purpose in life, a purpose that has meaning not just within our current social system, but for life beyond our own time. This is for anyone who feels they have a "spiritual" side and wants to explore ways to incorporate that into their daily life, beyond and more creatively than what traditional religious institutions offer.
